Manchester City are reportedly willing to offer Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus in a bid to land Harry Kane this summer – but Arsenal could scupper any deal.
Kane is wants to leave Spurs as he has become increasingly frustrated with the lack of trophies won by the club.
He will no doubt be in high demand, but there are few who could afford the fee Daniel Levy is likely to demand.
Manchester United seem set on Jadon Sancho, while Spurs are unlikely to want to do business with bitter rivals Chelsea.
City are strong contenders for and The Sun report that Pep Guardiola is willing to offer Sterling and Jesus, plus cash, in order to land Kane.
Despite Sergio Aguero’s departure, the Brazilian is not seen as the talisman the club need. Guardiola has often preferred to play without a recognised striker in his team this season.
Sterling, meanwhile, has also seen himself fall down the pecking order at City and has had an underwhelming season.
Jesus’ £90,000-a-week wages would not be seen as a problem for Spurs, but Sterling’s £300,000-a-week could be an issue.
And The Sun’s report says Arsenal would be the favourites to land Sterling if he is up for grabs.
Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on the 26-year-old and Arsenal would be more willing to meet his salary demands.
