Three of football’s top goal scorers could all be on the move this summer, with Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo all said to be on their way.
Kane has been open about his ambition to leave in pursuit of major football honours, while the other two are thought to be ready for new challenges, too.
Mbappe has been rumoured to move away from Paris Saint-Germain for several seasons and Liverpool and Real Madrid have both been heavily linked.
He top scored with 42 goals and recorded 11 assists in 47 matches, but PSG’s failure to win the Ligue 1 title and crashing out of the Champions League semi-finals will have added to the Frenchman’s discontent.
The 22-year-old has just one year left on his contract, and PSG may look to cash him in if they fear he’s ready to move on.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mbappe is ‘a gift’ for new Real boss Carlo Ancelotti and the Spanish giants hope they can sign him for a more modest fee with just 12 months left on his current deal.
And Real’s move for Mbappe is likely to trigger a huge transfer carousel between three of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Ronaldo to leave Juventus to replace Mbappe and Mauro Icardi to move from PSG to Juventus to replace Ronaldo in Turin.
Juve finished fourth in Serie A and were beaten by Porto in the Champions League round of 16 and just managed to qualify for next season’s tournament.
Meanwhile, Man City have again been heavily linked to English goal machine Harry Kane.
Pep Guardiola sees him as the perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero, who leaves for Barcelona this summer.
Acquiring the Premier League top goalscorer could be the final piece of the puzzle for City who are still searching for their first ever Champions League triumph.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, though, has not given up on keeping Kane and would ask for £120 million to sell.
But with an impressive three Premier League Golden Boots to his name, he may just be worth it.
