Everton have confirmed Theo Walcott, Josh King, Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic will leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.
The Toffees announced the clear-out news on Friday, with Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen returning to Roma after his season-long loan spell.
In a brief statement, Everton said: “Everton wishes to thank all departing players for their contribution throughout their time at the club.”
Walcott joined Everton for £20million from Arsenal in January 2018, but spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Southampton.
And the former England star has already announced he will re-join the Saints on a permanent deal this summer, having agreed a new two-year deal.
King, a January transfer deadline day signing, leaves after failing to score in 11 substitute appearances for the Toffees.
Meanwhile, Besic, who had loan spells with Middlesbrough and Sheffield United, had not played for Everton since September 2017.
And Bolasie’s disappointing five-year spell, where he made just 32 appearances for Everton, comes to an end.
Academy players Josh Bowler, Dennis Adeniran, Matthew Pennington, Con Ouzounidis, Callum Connolly and Bobby Carroll will also be released at the end of the month.
Nathan Broadhead, Ryan Astley and Joe Anderson have been offered new deals.
Everton are on the lookout for a new manager following Carlo Ancelotti’s shock return to Real Madrid earlier this week.
Nuno Espirito Santo and David Moyes are the bookmakers’ favourites to succeed the Italian coach at Goodison Park.
