Floyd Mayweather has claimed that the pay-per-view numbers released by Jake Paul and Triller after the Ben Askren fight were ‘total lies’.
The 50-0 boxing legend is set to face Jake’s brother Logan in an exhibition fight this weekend, with no love lost between him and the Paul family.
At the first press conference when he squared off with Logan, Floyd clashed with Jake as the YouTuber snatched his hat, sparking a brawl.
This came just weeks after Jake’s first-round knockout win over Ben Askren, which he said sold 1.5million PPV buys and generated $75million.
Mayweather told Yahoo Sports: “I don’t know who owns Triller, but congratulations to whoever owns Triller and whatever you guys are doing.
“I’m Mayweather Promotions and I’m PBC until the day I D-I-E, so I don’t worry about nobody else, we’re the best.
“Now, Triller – if you guys are gonna promote in boxing, you guys have to be honest.
“The last time, these guys were writing numbers, talking about the numbers Jake Paul was doing, which was total lies – the PPV numbers.
“I can’t lie, my stuff is public knowledge, so people can see everything that I’m doing.
“When these guys are talking about the numbers they’re doing, they’re lying.”
Jake has now moved to Showtime for his next fight with Tyron Woodley.
