Covid-19 crisis has hit the country through length and breadth and many stunt artists in the entertainment industry have been left without work and no other source of income as the shootings of major movies has been suspended.
Even when the shoots had resumed, only a few of them were seen returning to work because of the strict guidelines of Covid-19 in place.
Movie Stunt Artistes Association
Now, it seems that the rays of hope have finally returned for these artists as Salman Khan and Netflix India have stepped up to help stunt artists registered with the Movie Stunt Artistes Association.
The association’s general secretary, director of operations Aejaz Gulab, in an interview, has clearly said they had not received any assistance so far.
Salman Khan And Netflix’s Help
They now are set to receive help from Salman Khan, and the money will be transferred to the accounts of the members of the organization.
He also said Netflix would help their association so there was relief for members who had been living in unemployed homes.
Earlier during the first Covid-19 wave, Tiger Shroff and Ajay Devgn also provided assistance to stunt artists.
Actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have started shooting for their upcoming Tiger 3 at Yash Raj Studios a few months ago.
It was also reported that Emraan Hashmi has been tapped for starring in the film.
The shooting started between tight security to avoid leaks in the film sets. Although the shooting has stopped in the middle of the second wave of COVID-19, it is reported that the next phase will begin in June 2021.
According to a media report, Emraan Hashmi and Salman Khan are expected to lock horns in the upcoming actioner.
