Romelu Lukaku insists he ‘does not give a ‘f***’ about criticism directed at him.
The 28-year-old striker has revived his career at Inter Milan having struggling for consistent form with Manchester United.
Lukaku helped Inter win a first Serie A title in 11 years last season and has scored 47 goals in 72 league appearances since leaving United in 2019.
He is proving his doubters wrong at Euro 2020 by being the joint-top scorer at the tournament with three goals so far.
In a Q&A session on Twitter, Lukaku was asked: “Big Rom, how do you deal with all the unfair criticism you have been getting from fans?
“Your first touch, not being a world-class striker when the numbers suggest the exact opposite?”
Lukaku replied: “Idgaf [I don’t give a f***] to be honest.
“I think my work behind the scenes shows my mentality. Always try to improve and most importantly win games.”
Lukaku also spoke about his relationship with Ian Wright, who scored 185 goals in 288 appearances for the Gunners.
Asked about his relationship with Wright and if the legendary striker had ever given him any tips, the Belgium star wrote: “Awesome!
“He knows the game so well… playing on the shoulder of the defender tips he is the one to listen to.”
Lukaku is also lucky enough to get tips from another Arsenal legend, with Thierry Henry part of the Belgium coaching staff at Euro 2020.
