Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Robert Lewandowski’s agent over his future.
The Blues are in the market for a new centre-forward this summer and have been linked to the biggest names in world football.
They were linked to Harry Kane at the start of the summer and reports have started to surface in recent days about a potential player-plus-cash deal involving Tammy Abraham.
Erling Haaland is also on their radar and they look set to offer anywhere between £135million and £150m.
Borussia Dortmund insist he is not for sale this summer, with a £65m release clause becoming active in 2022, but their resolve is likely to be tested.
Lewandowski is the latest striker on their list of targets and reports claim Chelsea will offer Bayern Munich £50m.
Sport Bild claim the Premier League club have been discussing the Poland international’s future with agent Pini Zahavi.
The 32-year-old still has two years left on his Bayern Munich contract and they are said to be keen on offering him an extension.
The Bundesliga club are thought to be unwilling to sell the star striker.
Lewandowski joined Bayern from rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and been in unstoppable goalscoring form ever since.
He has 294 goals in just 329 games for them winning the Bundesliga in all seven of his seasons at the club and he helped them claim a famous treble in the 2019/20 campaign.
The Poland striker has also been tipped to win the Ballon d’Or and was the frontrunner in 2020, until they decided to scrap it that year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
