In a tweet criticising President Trump for his response to the coronavirus outbreak, Senator Elizabeth Warren censored out the word “Chinese” in “Chinese Virus.” “Chinese” is a Naughty Word, According to Warren! On Wednesday, President Trump signed the Defense Production Act, in order to increase the production of “health and medical resources needed to respond to the spread of COVID-19, including personal protective equipment and ventilators.” In a tweet, the President said that he had signed the DPA to “combat the Chinese Virus should we need to invoke it in a worst case scenario in the future.” This did not satisfy Senator Warren, who said that the President should “stop dragging your feet & burying your head & start helping hospitals that are about to be slammed by this pandemic,” implying he should invoke it sooner rather than later. President Trump, are your eyes stitched shut? Hospitals need test kits, ventilators, & other medical supplies. That's why the DPA exists. Stop dragging your feet & burying your head & start helping hospitals that are about to be slammed by this pandemic. pic.twitter.com/9bb4Bl05ob — Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren) March 19, 2020 However, rather than quote-tweeting the President, Warren had tweeted out a screenshot of his tweet, and for some reason, censored the word “Chinese” in “Chinese Virus.” Twitter noticed the decision of the failed presidential candidate rather quickly and criticised her for her censorship, with many calling her “insane” and arguing that she was “taking a cue from China” in her blurring out of the word. I take it one of your many plans includes getting rid of the First Amendment. — Dan Gainor (@dangainor) March 19, 2020 pic.twitter.com/cfe4XAcdzo — Well Redneck (@WellRedneck) March 19, 2020 Elizabeth Warren blurred out the word "Chinese" in "Chinese Virus." Glad to see American politicians willingly doing the Chinese Communist Party's censorship for them. https://t.co/GwaA3l8PHW — JERRY DUNLEAVY (@JerryDunleavy) March 19, 2020 Fake Indian censors origin of real virus. https://t.co/EXiKOQZ9w9 — Sean Davis (@seanmdav) March 19, 2020 RELATED: Hillary Clinton Says Trump Saying ‘Chinese Virus’ Is ‘Racist Rhetoric’ Stand Firm Mr President! Reporters from the mainstream media had previously attacked the President for his use of the phrase “Chinese Virus” when referring to the coronavirus, suggesting that he was whipping up racism against Chinese people for the phrase. CNN claimed that the phrase is “inaccurate and considered stigmatising.” The President has repeatedly stood firm against these attacks. “It’s not racist at all, no, not at all. It comes from China, that’s why. I want to be accurate,” Trump said at a press conference on Wednesday. Trump noted that the Chinese government has been trying to imply the coronavirus was, in fact, created by the United States military, and tried to shift the blame from themselves. “I have great love for all of the people from our country, but as you know China tried to say at one point … that it was caused by American soldiers. That can’t happen. It’s not gonna happen, not as long as I’m President. It comes from China,” he argued. RELATED: Laura Ingraham Calls For Halt to ALL Immigration During Coronavirus Crisis I’m glad the President is standing up for his use of language against the press and leftists like Warren, who are following the Chinese Communist Party line that the virus did not come from them. It has nothing to do with racism at all – the media and people like Warren know this, but they will continue to bash the President over the head with accusations of it for their own personal gain.
